FGDP (UK) Malcolm Pendlebury Memorial Lecture 2016

One of the highlights of the FGDP(UK) calendar is the bi-annual lecture which is held in memory of Malcolm Pendlebury, the third Dean of the Faculty.  Malcolm was a Founding Board member of the Faculty and he is remembered for his lifelong commitment to raising standards in dental practice, and for his work to develop membership assessment.

This year the lecture will be held at 6.00pm on Friday, 26th February and our guest speaker is Dr Sara Hurley, the new Chief Dental Officer.  Dr Hurley will be talking to us about her plans and aspirations for the role of Chief Dental Officer, her observations and views since taking up post in July 2015 and her vision for the dental profession.

The lecture, and a short question and answer session, will take place between 6.00 and 7.00pm, we very much hope you will be able to join us.

Please let Judy Dodds know by email (jdodds@rcseng.ac.uk) whether or not you will be able to attend the lecture.  We would be grateful if you could respond by 5th February 2016.

I hope to see you on 26th February for what I know will be an interesting and enjoyable event.

Dr Michael Horton
Dean
